I was born on May 18, 1981 in the city of Newark, New Jersey. I began singing when I was 4 years old.
As I grew older, the love for singing and music became more and more important to me, and I would continue my aspirations in singing by performing at many talent shows across the country including:
- High school graduations
- College graduations
- Weddings ordinations
- Consecrations
Eventually I began to take on musical administrative roles in the church such as:
- Minister of music - Bethesda house of Mercy - Paterson, NJ
- Minister of music - New Generation Healing Temple - Paterson, NJ
I held onto these positions and eventually recieved an opportunity to travel with a major gospel group and became a part of the world-famous "Uplifters," touring with them for some time.
The “Uplifters” appeared with gospel greats such as "Luther Barnes," "The Canton Spirituals," "Rizen" just to name a few.
After my time with the “Uplifters,” I continued my music ministry by going to diferent churches and ministering in music, maintaining my motto that says "if I can help somebody as I pass along, if I can cheer somebody with a word or song, if I can show somebody that they're traveling wrong, then my living shall not be in vain".
I am married to my high school sweetheart Keshanna Teague; together we have two beautiful children, Kaniyah Janee’(3 yrs) and Corey II (5 mo).
In 1988, Elder Teague chose Christ as his Savior, and as a result eventually became active in the church, although he was but a young man.
In the summer of 1993, at age 12, Elder Teague recieved his calling to the gospel ministry, in 1995 he was licensed as a minister. In the year 1999, at age 19, his mother, the late Pastor Louise Teague formed the New Generation Healing and Deliverance Tabernacle, inc. in Paterson, NJ. Pastor Louise teague, appointed Elder Corey Teague to serve as assistant pastor, and in July of 2000, at age 20, Elder Corey Teague was ordained and elevated to the office of pastor.
I served at New Generation as the interim pastor until the Senior Pastor Louise Teague went home to be with the Lord, (2/15/05). In April of 2005, at age 26, I became senior pastor of New Generation.
I established the Teague Memorial Foundation in May of 2007, and am currently the senior pastor at New Generation Healing and Deliverance Tabernacle, Inc.
Today, I continue my ministry in the footsteps of those men and women of God who have gone on to glory.
Isaiah 61:1-3 says "The spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified.
